『午後の遺言状』や『ふくろう』などで知られる日本最高齢96歳(映画撮影時には95歳)の新藤兼人監督の最新作『石内尋常高等小学校　花は散れども』が完成。21日に都内で完成披露試写会が行われ、新藤監督、柄本明、大竹しのぶ、六平直政、川上麻衣子、豊川悦司が出席した。

本作は監督の出身地・広島県を舞台に、小学生からシナリオライターへと成長していく主人公と、子供たちを暖かく見守る小学校教師の姿を描く自伝的要素の強い作品。約2ヵ月に渡る広島ロケで新藤監督の演出を受けた俳優たちは「本当に光栄でした」(豊川)「なかなかこういう撮影現場は味わえない」(大竹)と改めて新藤監督に敬意を表した。

また、長期に渡るロケ撮影ですっかりチームワークが出来上がっており、若き日の新藤監督を演じた豊川が「何故、僕が選ばれたんですかねぇ」とコメントすると、六平が「監督が“自分の役をやる人は背が高くてカッコいい人”って言ったからですよね」とツッコミを入れ、会場から笑いが起こるひと幕もあった。

そして本作が47本目の監督作となる新藤監督は「足腰が弱ってましたので、車椅子で現場に行ったのですが、カメラの横に座りますと、たちまち活気が戻りまして隅々まで撮ることが出来ました」とコメント...

　6月8日（日）さいたまスーパーアリーナで開催される『戦極〜第三陣〜』の主要対戦カードが、5月20日（火）都内ホテルで行われた記者会見で発表された。

　旗揚げ戦でジョシュ・バーネットに敗れ、今回が復帰戦となる吉田秀彦（吉田道場）は、元WKA世界キックボクシング王座＆UFC世界ヘビー級王座などキックボクシングと総合格闘技で計4本のベルトを巻いたモーリス・スミス（アメリカ/モーリス・スミス・キックボクシングセンター）との対戦が決定。

Makuta  Artarakh Story:  This  makuta  was  specifically  designed  by  the  BoM  to  created  the  cruellest,  most  vicious  rahi  beasts  in  the  entire  BIONICLE  universe.  But  none  of  the  rahi's  cold-heartedness  even  comes  close  to  how  sinister,  cruel  and  twisted  Artarakh  is.  He  is  entirely  devoted  to  his  work,  and  that  is  all  he  exists  for.  If  anyone  comes  into  the  same  room  as  Artarakh  while  he  is  conducting  experiments,  he  will  viciously  attack  them,  even  if  it  is  Teridax  or  Karnaxx.  When  one  of  his  rahi  failed  miserably  one  time,  and  all  the  other  makuta,  including  Chirox  and  Mutran,  laughed  at  his  project,  he  said  to  them  "Fools!  Worthless  creatures  that  are  the  Great  Being's  biggest  mistakes!"  He  then  went  on  a  rampage,  damaging  even  Karnaxx  in  the  process.  He  was  locked  up  for  1500  years  in  a  room  by  himself  as  a  punishment.  When  he  came  out,  he  had  been  reduced  to  an  isane,  gibberish  mess.  Even  Karnaxx  felt  sorry  for  him.  The  BoM  were  eventually  forced  to  assign  Artarakh  to  the  island  where  Vakua  and  Katua  came  from.  He  watched  over  the  matoran  from  the  forests,  eventually  kidnapping  a  matoran  and  conducting  experiments  on  him  to  turn  him  into  a  loyal  worker.  When  Karnaxx  and  the  other  2  makuta  showed  up  and  attacked  the  matoran,  Artarakh  was  outraged,  but  he  stayed  watching  the  attack.  Karnaxx  later  said  "I  felt  a  disturbing  presence  when  I  was  on  the  island.  It  felt  as  if  someone..  or..  something  was  staring  at  me,  as  if  it's  destiny  was  to  watch  me  forever."  After  the  incident  Artarakh  was  resigned  from  his  post.  He  was  sent  to  work  finding  the  Toa  of  Stone  and  Toa  of  Ice  after  the  attack  on  the  team.  He  managed  to  find  them,  after  days  of  searching  and  almost  dying  by  suicide  (Artarakh  was  designed  to  make  rahi,  so  doing  anything  else  caused  him  extreme  physical  pain),  Artarakh  found  the  Toa.  The  Ice  Toa  managed  to  get  away,  but  Artarakh  managed  to  mutate  the  Toa  of  Stone  into  a  horrible  beast,  then  tried  to  persuade  the  Toa  to  join  the  BoM,  but  the  Toa  refused,  saying  "Even  though  I  may  be  turned  into  a  monstrous  beast,  even  though  my  pride  and  friends  are  gone,  I  will  always  be  a  toa."  The  toa  then  smashed  Artarakh  5  feet  into  the  ground.  By  the  time  the  makuta  got  up  again,  the  Toa  was  long  gone.  The  Makuta  was  very  angry  that  he  had  endured  all  that  work  and  suffering  just  for  both  toa  to  get  away,  but  he  was  still  pleased  at  what  he  had  done  to  the  Toa  of  Stone.  He  returned  to  the  base,  where  Teridax  had  learned  of  what  Artarakh  had  done  to  the  Toa,  and  congratulated  him,  saying  "I  believe  that  this  is  some  of  your  best  work  my  brother.  Well  done"  Even  though  Artarakh  was  still  an  insane,  gibberish  mess,  he  was  extremely  pleased  at  what  Teridax  had  said  to  him,  and  managed  to  say  "Thank  You".  He  was  later  told  to  go  to  Karda  Nui  to  experiment  on  some  animals.  he  happily  agreed,  and  is  currently  there  experimenting.Weapons:  He  had  a  double  bladed  spear,  along  with  poisonous  fangs,  an  explosive  blade  on  his  arm,  and  clawed  feet.  After  he  went  insane,  he  liked  to  collect  pieces  from  enemies  he  defeated.  He  also  grew  large  claws.  Because  the  materials  for  many  of  his  experiments  were  found  deep  underground,  he  carried  an  arm-mounted  drill,  presumably  from  a  toa  of  earth  he  killed.  Before  he  went  to  Karda  Nui,  he  stole  a  jet  pack  and  hi-tech  wings  from  another  Toa.Kanohi:  Artarakh  wore  the  Kanohi  Shelek,  the  Mask  of  Silence.  But  unlike  Chirox  and  Mutran's  version,  this  one  had  fused  to  his  fae  during  his  time  locked  in  the  cell,  causing  a  part  of  his  insanity.  It  also  made  targets  PERMANENTLY  lose  the  ability  to  make  or  hear  any  noise.  Only  Artarakhs  bidding  could  undo  the  effects.  His  mask  could  also  created  an  anti-sound  barrier  around  an  opponent,  that  blocked  their  sounds  from  escaping.  It  usually  drove  them  insane,  as  when  a  barrier  is  placed  around  them,  it  stays  there  until  Artarakh  says  so.  And  the  sounds  they  make  echo  around  the  barrier,  and  they  never  get  any  quieter.  Personaliy:  He  was  very  cold-hearted  and  cruel,  and  showed  no  affection  at  all  towards  anything  ever.  He  would  attack  someone  if  they  even  went  in  the  same  room  as  him  while  he  was  working.  After  his  imprisonment,  he  was  turned  into  a  gibberish  mess.  He  kept  saying  things  that  had  no  meaning,  but  one  of  the  things  he  said  included  the  location  to  Artakha,  as  right  before  Kojol  died,  he  passed  on  the  information  to  a  male  Vortixx  (though  it  is  not  known  why  Kojol  did  this),  who  then  passed  the  info  onto  Artarakh,  who  then  killed  him.  unfortunately,  the  makuta  were  totally  disinterested  in  what  Artarakh  was  saying,  as  they  thought  it  was  just  rubbish.  Not  much  else  can  be  said  about  his  personality.

　5月11日（月）神奈川・横浜にあるP’s LAB横浜にて、北岡悟（パンクラスism）が公開練習を行った。北岡は18日（日）東京・有明コロシアムで開催されるワールドビクトリーロード（以下WVR）主催『戦極〜第二陣〜』でイアン・シャファー（オーストラリア/チーム・シャファー）と対戦する。

　3月のGiグラップリングとコンバットレスリングの2つのアマチュア大会に出場し、全試合オール一本勝ち。鬼のような姿で極めまくっていた北岡だが、この日も“鬼の寝技師”ぶりを発揮！

　パンクラスの練習生を相手に寝技スパーリングを行った北岡は、フロントチョーク、アキレス腱固め、ネイキッドチョーク、膝十字など次々と技を繰り出し、3分間に9回のタップを奪う。

「体調は普通にいいですよ。普段は82〜3kgあるのですが、今は77kg切るぐらい。早い段階で節制してきて、これから一気に5kg落とす感じです」と減量も問題なし、好調ぶりをアピールした。

The  Black  Mages  Those  Who  fight  Further  -  Final  Fantasy  7 The  Black  Mages  are  a  Japanese  instrumental  rock  band  formed  by  Nobuo  Uematsu,[1]  composer  for  various  video  games  in  the  Final  Fantasy  series.  The  band  arranges  Uematsu's  musical  compositions  in  a  rock  style[1]  often  similar  to  progressive  metal,  achieved  with  the  additional  use  of  synthesizers.The  band  has  released  three  studio  albums,  the  first  containing  only  combat-related  instrumentals.  It  was  released  eponymously  as  The  Black  Mages  in  2003.  The  second  album?The  Skies  Above?was  released  in  2004  and  features  a  wider  array  of  pieces.  Guest  vocalists  Tomoaki  Watanabe  (as  "mr.goo")  and  Kazco  Hamano  appear  on  separate  tracks,  and  an  original  track  titled  "Blue  Blast  -  Winning  the  Rainbow"  was  created  for  Japanese  K-1  fighter  Takehiro  Murahama.[2]  The  Black  Mages  have  appeared  on  several  other  video  game-related  (mostly  Final  Fantasy)  albums.  The  band  released  their  third  album  on  March  the  19th  2008.[3]Live  performances  are  rare,  with  only  two  concerts  that third  recording  that  will  include  a  version  of  Maria  and  Draco.  Nobuo  Uematsu  later  said  there  will  be  a  concert  in  Japan  for  the  third  album  sometime  in  August  2008.In  2000,  Square  Enix  employees  Kenichiro  Fukui  and  Tsuyoshi  Sekito  formed  an  experimental  partnership  to  compose  for  the  All  Star  Pro-Wrestling  video  game  in  a  rock  music  style.  After  the  video  game's  success,  the  two  continued  to  compose  in  the  same  style.  In  2002,  Fukui  and  Sekito  decided  to  arrange  some  of  Nobuo  Uematsu's  compositions.  Uematsu,  a  fan  of  rock  music,  enjoyed  the  rock  arrangements.  Regretting  that  the  public  would  not  be  able  to  appreciate  them,  he  decided  to  form  The  Black  Mages.In  2003,  Kenichiro  Fukui  and  Tsuyoshi  Sekito  arranged,  interpreted  and  sequenced  10  combat  themes  from  various  Final  Fantasy  video  games,  with  Nobuo  Uematsu  as  producer.  An  album  containing  these  tracks  was  released  eponymously  on  February  19,  2003.  After  being  met  with  success,  Uematsu  decided  to  organize  a  concert  in  tribute  to  the  album.  Fukui  chose  to  play  keyboards,  while  Sekito  chose  to  play  guitar.  Because  this  was  not  enough  to  perform  the  arrangements,  several  members  from  Square  Enix  joined.  Keiji  Kawamori  joined  to  play  bass  guitar,  Michio  Okamiya  to  play  guitar,  and  Arata  Hanyuda  to  play  drums.  With  persuasion  from  the  group,  Nobuo  Uematsu  began  playing  keyboards.  The  Black  Mages  performed  on  April  26,  2003  at  Shibuya-AX  in  Tokyo.  This  was  followed  by  a  30-minute  performance  at  the  Kanagawa  University  festival  on  November  3.At  the  beginning  of  2004,  Nobuo  Uematsu  announced  the  prospect  of  a  second  album.  Later  in  July  he  announced  that  the  album  was  in  the  recording  stages.  Earlier  on  April  21,  an  arrangement  album  for  the  Dark  Cloud  2  video  game  titled  Dark  Chronicle  Premium  Arrange  was  released.  It  features  the  first  full  appearance  of  The  Black  Mages  on  a  studio  album,  who  were  asked  by  TEAM  Entertainment  (the  publisher)  to  arrange  and  interpret  "Flame  Demon  Monster  Gaspard."  On  December  22,  2004,  The  Black  Mages  II:  The  Skies  Above  was  released.  The  Skies  Above  features  a  wider  array  of  pieces  by  not  focusing  on  battle  themes,  unlike  the  first.  Additionally,  The  Skies  Above  features  vocal  tracks  written  by  Alexander  O.  Smith,  the  translator  for  Final  Fantasy  X  and  Final  Fantasy  XII.  "Otherworld"  was  sung  by  Kazco  Hamano  and  "The  Skies  Above"  by  Tomoaki  Watanabe  (as  "mr.goo"),  while  "Maybe  I'm  a  Lion"  features  a  small  vocal  introduction  by  Alexander  O.  Smith.  In  2005,  the  album  was  the  subject  of  a  concert  on  January  22,  January  23
